Who would have thought you needed to make sure your Hampton Inn has an elevator? We think we'll call ahead to all the others, and make sure.

Check ahead with the other places you've made reservations. Tell them, if they don't have an elevator, that you must have a room at ground level because you have a wheelchair. I think a bicycle would qualify, even though the configuration is different.
